Duck hunting season opens in northern Wisconsin
September 23, 2005 - Duck hunting season opens in northern Wisconsin this weekend and in southern Wisconsin next weekend.

Biologists are advising hunters to scout their favorite spots beforehand because what may have been a marsh before, might not be now. This summer’s dry weather means lower water levels in some places.
Hunters may have a hard time navigating boats to get to the cattails and potholes. Water in the Theresa Marsh in Washington County for example, is about a foot below normal. Duck hunting season opens in northern Wisconsin this weekend and in southern Wisconsin next weekend.
