Deer-hunting permits available for fall New York

Deer-hunting permits available for fall - New York state hunters will have nearly 10,000 acres of West Point property on which to track deer this fall.Sportsmen and women interested in hunting on wildlife management unit 3P, which includes the West Point Military Reservation, must first obtain a permit from the state Department of Environmental Conservation.
Deer hunters with 3P permits are then asked to contact the academy’s natural resources branch after Oct. 1, by phone or e-mail, for specific hunting procedures. Natural resources staff can be reached at 938-3857 or James.Beemer@usma.army.mil
